What is Karma? It is a spiritual concept that says every action has a reaction. It is the law of cause and effect. Every deed you do, and everything you put out into the Universe, comes back in some form.

Your actions, words, and even your intentions all create a "ripple effect" that goes out into the Universe and affects what you experience in the future, both in this life and in future incarnations.

The concept is deeply practiced in Eastern religions, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. "You reap what you sow" is a phrase used to sum up Karma, and variations of that phrase are even found in the Bible.

Many people mistakenly believe that cause and effect only have to do with your physical actions, but it also comes from your words and thoughts.
